Michael Folonis
Michael W. Folonis, FAIA, holds a Master's Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Architecture from SCI-Arc. Folonis established his architectural practice in Santa Monica in 1983, an award winning architectural firm whose work has been widely published nationally and internationally. In 2008, the National Chapter of the American Institute of Architects elected him to the College of Fellows. Folonis is currently serving on the board of directors for the California Chapter of the AIA, and the AIA | Los Angeles Executive Board. He taught studio design at California State University Pomona in both the graduate and undergraduate programs from 1983 to 2004. He has also taught at USC and Woodbury University. Folonis has received more than thirty design awards including National AIA, California State AIA and Los Angeles AIA.
