Matthew Melnyk
Matthew Melnyk is a licensed Structural Engineer with 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and Mechanics of Materials from UC Berkeley. Melynk worked for Thornton-Tomassetti Engineers in New York where he was exposed to stadium and high-rise structures. Notable project work includes PNC Park Stadium, and a 50-story high-rise for Goldman Sachs. In 2002, he joined Buro Happold Consulting Engineers in New York, an international practice specializing in complex structures. In 2006, he relocated to Los Angeles as a founding member of the Buro Happold Los Angeles office. In 2010, Matthew formed Nous Engineering which offers sophisticated engineering solutions to architects and developers. Nous Engineering operates in partnership with the London based consultancy Nous Collaborative, who provide a platform for established and emerging architects to pursue the most compelling issues and research affecting architectural practice.
