SCI-Arc Open Studio 2025 Connects Students with Top Design Firms

SCI-Arc’s annual Open Studio returned in 2025, offering students invaluable opportunities to connect with leading architecture and design firms from around the world. This year’s event saw participation from 112 students and 98 employers, reinforcing SCI-Arc’s role as a hub for cutting-edge design talent and industry collaboration.

The event welcomed a diverse range of firms spanning architecture, engineering, film, and emerging technologies. Among the large international firms in attendance were AECOM, Gensler, Corgan, Populous, HKS, HNTB Architects, NBBJ, and Steinberg Hart. Mid-sized prestigious firms such as Gehry Partners, Grimshaw Architects, Johnson Fain, MAD Architects, Perkins Eastman, Woods Bagot, and Yazdani Studio of CannonDesign also took part, offering students insight into a broad spectrum of career paths.

Beyond traditional architecture, Open Studio 2025 attracted employers from various industries, reflecting the evolving landscape of design. Notable attendees included Halon Entertainment, representing the film and VFX sector, NTS Geotechnical from the engineering and geotechnical field, and Stellar Amenities, a firm at the intersection of space exploration and AI.
