SCI-Arc Press was founded in 2005 as a distinct voice in architecture to examine and propagate the work and research of designers and theorists developing the next generation of ideas.

ONRAMP Nos. 1-4
ONRAMP is a publication of selected work by SCI-Arc graduate and undergraduate students. There have been four editions thus far.

The Thickening of Time (2015)
This book by senior SCI-Arc faculty member Coy Howard continues the school’s tradition of innovation by challenging the current status of digital architecture.

Trilogy: SCI-Arc Pavilions
This book documents the conception, design, and fabrication of a series of pavilions built for SCI-Arc between 2011 and 2013 by Oyler Wu Collaborative.

A Confederacy of Heretics Exhibition Catalog (2013)
This book provides a unique lens through which to reexamine some of Los Angeles’s best-known architects at a pivotal moment in the development of late twentieth-century architecture.

SCI-Arc Gallery 2002-2010 (2010)
This book documents thirty-five exhibitions over eight years in the SCI-Arc Gallery.

The mission of SCI-Arc Press is to publish works that engage and challenge current discourses in architecture and design, and further the institution’s objectives of excellence in research, scholarship, and education.

In addition to books, Offramp is SCI-Arc’s academic journal. Between 1987 and 2000 SCI-Arc produced seven editions of Offramp before the title was retired for a number of years. In 2014 the school reintroduced the journal in digital format as part of the Design of Theory Fellowship. SCI-Arc created its Design of Theory program to advance and advocate the necessity of theory and discourse in contemporary architectural design.
