Summary:
The Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) is a dynamic, urban, non-profit institution dedicated to educating architects to engage, speculate, innovate, and to take the lead in reimagining the limits of architecture. SCI-Arc’s pedagogy is focused on preparing students to meet unique challenges in a fluid world, and to excel. Information and Responsibilities:
SCI-Arc is seeking candidates for Full-Time Faculty & Coordinator (History + Theory) starting in the Fall 2025 academic term. Primary teaching responsibility will be the instruction of graduate and undergraduate students.

The Full-Time Faculty & Coordinator (History + Theory) will teach undergraduate and graduate level history courses in art, architecture, and related theory. The faculty member will guide undergraduate and graduate level students in thesis projects, teaching history/ theory seminars, and curate supplementary workshops related to art/architectural history, talks, and mentoring sessions. The faculty member will also provide leadership service to SCI-Arc as coordinator of history curriculum within the department.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Art History. SCI-Arc seeks candidates of diverse backgrounds and approaches who represent diverse points of view and research interests.
