The program learning outcomes are premised on the thesis that the current environment crisis requires ecologically oriented designers to develop new cultural aesthetics and new paradigms of practice across disciplines. The program positions the domain of innovative ecological design to include any cultural practice that materially intervenes in world. Whether it is a building, a landscape, a city, or a work of art, the program promotes a synthetic paradigm as a model beyond the historical binary of artifice and nature.
