SCI-Arc Career Fair

The Southern California Institute of Architecture Alumni Association cordially requests participation at the

SCI-ARC ANNUAL
CAREER FAIR

Friday, March 20, 2009
10 am - 1:30 pm

W.M. Keck Lecture Hall
SCI-Arc
960 E. 3rd Street
Los Angeles, CA 90013

The Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and the SCI-Arc Alumni Association present our annual Career Fair on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. This event provides firms with the opportunity to meet current students interested in internships and summer positions, as well as the next group of SCI-Arc graduates as they prepare to set foot into the professional world.

Our students are well-equipped with a comprehensive knowledge and skill base from which to launch their professional careers in the creative industry – most in architecture, but also in digital media, graphic arts and multimedia design.

SCI-Arc’s unique curriculum - which integrates design studio, visual studies, history, theory, and technology with professional practice and building techniques - cultivates architects and design professionals that are proficient in both the digital and material/physical aspects of practice.

Firms who participate in our Career Fair have on-site interaction with the future thought leaders in architecture and design. In addition, their on-campus presence raises their firm’s visibility and access to our student body throughout their academic tenure at SCI-Arc.

The 2009 participating firms are:

AECOM
BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, INC.

The annual East Coast Alumni Event will take place at the Architectural League in New York, Thursday, October 25 from 6 - 8pm.

Eric Owen Moss and the new Chair of the Board, John Geresi, will bring the group up-to-date on all the goings-on at SCI-Arc. The goal this year is to bring SCI-Arc's historic lecture series to the web. When complete, over 1000 lectures from iconic architects and artists will be available via the school's website. Forty lectures are already available online and we encourage you to take a look.

If you're interested in contributing to this effort, please contact Lynn Ordinario at 213-356-5312 or via email. Or you can drop a check in the mail, made payable to SCI-Arc and designate the contribution for the digital archive of the lecture series.
