Tampa Firm Led by Alum among Florida’s Top Design Offices in New Publication

ROJO Architecture, the Tampa-based firm of alum Jonathan Moore (M.Arch2 '00) is featured alongside Florida's top design firms in a new book by Damir Sinovcic, 100 Florida Architects and Interior Designers. The book showcases a vibrant cross-section of work that ranges from single-family homes and museums to luxury resorts and civic buildings.

Beth Dunlop, contributing architecture critic at The Miami Herald says, "Look at Florida's architecture and interior design today, and you will see a remarkable range of buildings and spaces, a body of work that springs from a particular history, from a point of departure that in many ways is unlike any other."

ROJO's featured projects include The Portland (shown here), a new 12-story affordable housing apartment complex in St. Petersburg, Florida, which broke ground recently and is scheduled to be completed by November 2011; and ISPC Corporate Offices—a contemporary office building for a finance company in Odessa, FL, which recently won the AIA People's Choice Design Award. Both projects are acting as a catalyst for development in the local community.

Moore also recently completed work on the Park Square Cellar—an upscale bistro featuring a wine bar, live music venue and retail boutique—located on the site of an original, local staple of the Fish Hawk Ranch community in Tampa, FL.
