Moss Wins 2010 American Architecture Award

The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies has presented Eric Owen Moss Architects with a 2010 American Architecture Award for its "3555" building (shown here) based in Culver City, CA.

The annual prize recognizes significant accomplishments in contemporary architecture, landscape architecture, interiors and urban planning. Among the 2010 building winners are Herzog & De Meuron's "Miami Art Museum," Renzo Piano's "LACMA Lynda and Stewart Resnick Exhibition Pavilion," the "41 Cooper Square" by Morphosis Architects, and SOM's "Burj Khalifa."

All the awarded American buildings will be exhibited starting November 4, 2010 in Madrid at the annual conference titled "The City and the World: Madrid Symposium," organized by the Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The exhibition will also be traveling to Athens and then Istanbul in April 2011.
