Peter Zellner of ZELLNERPLUS, a faculty member and coordinator of SCI-Arc's Future Initiatives program, is profiled in the May 2010 issue of Art+Auction Magazine. Zellner recently renovated Susanne Vielmetter's new Culver City gallery space, which opened in January 2010.
[…] Zellner has earned a reputation for creating gallery spaces neutral and flexible enough to withstand—or perhaps even invite—high-impact installation and performance art.
The NY Times-powered Arts Beat featured Zellner in a blog story about the renovation plans for the former New York City home of the DIA Art Foundation. Art dealer Zach Feuer, who leased half of the building's ground floor, commissioned Zellner to renovate the space soon to house exhibitions by Dana Schutz, Nathalie Djuberg, and Phoebe Washburn, among other artists represented by Feuer.
Zellner's practice also picked up kudos from ArchDaily for its Solar Field House project (shown here), which earned the firm second place in the suckerPUNCH international open ideas competition for the Fort Tilden Field House in Queens, New York.
